Amy Briggs is an independent consultant. She is passionate about helping mission driven organizations achieve their goals. Amy partners with senior leaders and their teams; her areas of expertise include strategic planning, operational design, and financial sustainability and fundraising.
Most recently, Amy was the President and member of the Board of Directors of Student Achievement Partners, a national nonprofit focused on raising the rigor of literacy and mathematics instruction for Black students and for multilingual learners. As President she led the $8M organization to national impact, increasing rigorous, equitable, and joyful K-12 mathematics and literacy instruction for students across the country.
Amy has over two decades of experience in for profit and nonprofit K-12 education. After earning an AB magna cum laudefrom Harvard University, Amy began her career at EF Education First, facilitating international travel for U.S. educators. She earned an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and spent two years as a management consultant at Bain and Company. Amy returned to education in 2004 and held senior Vice President roles at The Grow Network, McGraw-Hill Education, and Kaplan K-12 and College Prep. Amy departed Student Achievement Partners in 2022 after ten years of senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer, Managing Partner, President, and Member of the Board of Directors.
Originally from Colorado, Amy makes her home in Brooklyn with her husband and their three unruly teenagers.
